2023 Awesome Sub-Arctic !

‘ Spectacular Aurora Borealis seem to burst from Gangler’s North Seal River Lodge’

The 2023 Gangler’s Sub-Arctic season was simply stunning as Mother Nature and the Canadian Sub-Arctic gifted us with so many of her treats.

Treats such as viewing wolves, caribou, moose, bears, otters, porcupines, eagles , hawks and owls. Nightly howling contests with the local pack created exhilarating moments. 85% of our guests saw the wolves and even more heard them. Seeing our amazing eskers for the first time and the beautiful, almost spiritual habitat they create. And finding artifacts from the ancient local indigenous peoples who called this land their home. The coup de grace is the Northern Lights, on everyone’s wish list , and at Gangler’s, they excel. 97% of our 2023 Eco guests enjoyed great Northern Lights in the comfortable temperatures of August and September in Northern Manitoba. The Northern Lights viewing actually started on July 25 as darkness began to visit the Sub-Arctic. The amazing night time shows continued thru our departure in early October. There is nothing to compare to a beautiful showing of the Aurora Borealis and one couple actually rebooked while still at the lodge. One advantage of viewing the Lights at this time of the year is the comfortable temperatures ranging from 30-70 degrees F. Your camera equipment (and your bones) will never freeze up and you can take great photos of them reflecting off the lake.

It is a fact Ganglers is one of the top options in the world for warm-weather Northern Lights. Some guests saw them four out of four nights !

Gangler’s Sub-Arctic is an incredible Sub-Arctic treat with so many day-time experiences culminating in everyone’s ultimate dream, to see the spectacular Aurora Borealis.

This is not a theme park, this is the REAL DEAL, the Ultimate Wilderness experience AND the ultimate Northern Lights Adventure !
