Travel to the Manitoba/Nunavut tundra & experience the unique and pristine beauty of the most northern region of Manitoba. The Sub-Arctic tundra on the Manitoba/Nunavut border is like no other region in the world, neighboring the Baralzon Ecological Preserve, possessing an amazing beauty.

Transportation

Floatplane transportation from NSRL to the Barren Grounds, 90 miles (145 km) north of the main lodge.

Wildlife

Arctic wolves and wolverines are fairly common as they roam the area, a main travel corridor for the Kaminuriak caribou herd. Keep your eyes peeled for a rare Barrenlands Grizzly.

Caribou

The area have been studied extensively by the Manitoba Bird Atlas and we encourage you to add to our checklist of the many species that frequent this area.

Floatplane Ride

Your journey to and from Courage Lake mini-lodge is completed by the use of one of our classic floatplanes! Floatplanes are an essential part of the Northern Manitoba experience. Fly-out further to see caribou is an extra option!

Esker Tours

The famed Robertson Esker  runs prominently thru the North Seal area, then travels 120 miles North to just west of Courage Lake in the Manitoba/Nunavut tundra. You will find the eskers to be breath-taking. These eskers have been used for centuries by the caribou and ancient hunters who followed them. You never know what you will find.

All prices are based on double occupancy. Taxes are not included in trip cost. A deposit of $2,400.00 USD per person for Gangler's Sub-Arctic Safari trips and $1,400.00 USD per person for the North Seal Sub-Arctic Deluxe Outpost or Courage Lake Caribou trips is due within 7 days to confirm reservation. ACH transfer preferred for deposits. Visa, Mastercard, Discover and American Express are accepted with a 4% processing fee. All payments are non-refundable. Surcharges may be applied for currency fluctuations and fuel price increases. Full payment for all trips is due 90 days prior to arrival. Payments not received by that time will automatically be considered a cancellation. Prices and conditions are subject to change without notice. We strongly recommend the purchase of trip insurance. All payments and cancellations are non-refundable. Cancellations that are successfully resold may be credited to the following year at the amount of resale. There is an additional fee of $500.00 per day for single occupancy at the main lodge.

All of our prices include roundtrip airfare from Winnipeg to our Lodge, meals, lodging, guiding, fishing rental equipment (if needed) and over six different sub-arctic tours/activities (listed above).
