A fabulous experience in Manitoba

Sep 2025 • Friends

Gangler’s Sub-Arctic was a wonderful experience. We signed up because we wanted to see the Aurora Borealis, but there was so much more. The adventure started with a personal greeting by Ken Gangler as we got off the plane, and continued with guided tours of the habitat along the eskers with biologist Brian and a naturalist, the fun evenings in the Lodge, the fishing with First Nation guides and the great food and nice cabins. We experienced it all: great hospitality, the Northern Lights, wolves, bears, caribou, float-plane trips, catching a three-foot pike and walks on the tundra at the 60th parallel. A fantastic five days.

Trip of a Lifetime!!!

My husband and I truly enjoyed our experience at Gangler’s. The accommodations and food were great. Ken and all of his staff were top notch. We were provided with a very personalized itinerary that was perfect for what we were look for. We fished part of the day and experience the ECO tour the other part. Our fishing guide Kelly was the best, taking us to some perfect locations. We caught Northern pike every time we went out and a couple Lake trout. Linda was our Eco Tour guide she was wonderful and very knowledgeable. She guided us to some great experiences. There is nothing quite like being that far from everything. Great way to unplug and enjoy what God has made. We also enjoyed the Northen Lights two of the nights we were there. If you are considering booking one of these trips, we totally 100% recommend the experience!
