The DARKEST Clearest Skies

Our Northern Lights viewing is some of the most spectacular on the planet.. One critical aspect that is necessary for amazing Auroras is zero light pollution. With no urban centers within 200 miles, we have some of the finest ‘Dark Skies’ on the planet.  While we have not registered it yet with Dark Skies International, it needs to be. Even when the Northern lights are not yet active, the views of our crystal clear night skies is astounding. Not only can see such constellations and galaxies like the Milky Way with the naked eye, but you can view meteor showers, satellites, even the International Space Station as they pass overhead. Plus , Dr. Brian Kotak has added a special camera to the lodge which allows guests to view Mars, Jupiter, Saturn and Uranus on many of these clear nights.
