International Writers ‘Discover’ the North Seal

Ganglers in partnership with Travel Manitoba hosted six international writers Aug. 13-17. The group included two writers from Germany, two from Australia, and two from the UK. It was exciting to see their reactions as they were amazed at this unique area they had no idea existed. All reveled in its beauty and wild solitude. Their trip included three interpretive esker tours, a floatplane trip to the Robertson esker and the archeological sites surrounding it, seeing the Glacial Erratics, hiking through the wilderness, a kayak trip,  and a trip to Courage Lake  in the Barrenlands. They topped it off with two nights of great Northern Lights around the lodge campfire. One story has already posted in Germany with much more to follow. We received this note from writer Burgit-Cathrin Duval-

“What an awesome time this was at Ganglers! Thank you so much for sharing this wonderful edge of the world with us. I have fallen in love – not for the first time, since I have been to Manitoba before. But once again – I just love the ruggedness of the north and the unique landscape of the North Seal River.

It was such an adventure and I look forward sharing my story with my readers. “
