The Ultimate Northern Lights Experience
The Northern Lights are nine times out of ten listed on someone’s “bucket list.” Why is that? For many, since the Auroras are only native to certain areas on Earth, only a small fraction of the world will be able to say that they saw the northern lights during their lifetime. In 2022, over 99% of Gangler’s Sub-Arctic’s guests saw magnificent northern lights during their 4-Day stay. Whether you are an explorer, sightseer, or adventurer, the place to see the ultimate bucket list item is right here in Northern Manitoba.
The North Seal River Lodge is the home and base of operations at Gangler’s Sub-Arctic. The Lodge specializes in a true, intimate Sub-Arctic setting that can host only 26 guests max at a time. Our staff to guest ratio of 1:1 ensures guest satisfaction by making sure everyone is heard and that their trip is tailored to their own personal interest.
The 2022 season was the year where Gangler’s Sub-Arctic was finally back in action following the Covid-19 Pandemic. Many, if not all, guests were eager to finally take their long-awaited trip to Northern Manitoba where they were able to take part in their customized itineraries.
“We had a fantastic time with our group…” said September guest Keith Page. “The mesmerizing pristine wilderness combined with informative and engaging leaders makes us want to go back again. The entire trip had a wonderful cadence of entertainment, great food, fishing, and relaxation.”
Aside from the daytime adventures, 99% of Gangler’s guests in 2022 were finally able to check off the Northern Lights from their bucket list. In most other areas, Northern Lights viewing is done during the cold winter months where temperatures can be well below 0 degrees Fahrenheit. Every image you see below from last season was taken in August or September 2022 during the temperatures the ranged between 40 – 70 degrees, right outside our guest’s cabins!
