Northern Lights – 100% Success Rate
All 2022 guests experienced the Northern Lights!
The 2022 season officially concluded on Oct. 1st and finished with a spectacular array of Northern Lights. Gangler’s Sub-Arctic is proud to report that all guests who traveled to Gangler’s Lodge were successful in viewing the amazing Aurora Borealis.
From the first group that arrived during the second week of August to our last that departed on Oct. 1st, each guest was able to see the Aurora Borealis at least once during their 4-Day stay and many saw them multiple nights. Night temperatures ranged from a high of 74 degrees Fahrenheit and no lower than 30 degrees. Most nights were in the 40s and 50s. You DO NOT have to be in sub-zero temperatures to see amazing Northern Lights! Guests also really enjoyed our newly expanded observation deck on our main dock. It is the perfect place for amazing photos of the Auroras reflecting off the lake.
While there are no guarantees, Gangler’s guests are 100% successful since 2018 for viewing the Aurora Borealis. What other Northern Lights destination can match that? The reason Gangler’s is so special, it sits in the heart of the Aurora ‘Hot Zone’ and 200 miles away from large bodies of water which cause inclement summer and Fall weather. But a trip to Gangler’s is so much more than just Aurora viewing, it is a journey into a unique land where Gangler’s Sub-Arctic guests enjoy a wealth of personalized day time activities and adventures. You’ll wish you could stay longer to experience even more! Reserve your 2023 Gangler’s Sub-Arctic adventure now; space is limited. Also, check out our new camps on Stevens and Courage Lakes.
