Tundra Expedition

Take a Floatplane up to the remarkable Sub-Arctic Tundra!  60 miles North of  the lodge, the terrain change from forest to Tundra.  On the 60th parallel, the border of Nunavut and Manitoba, Fall migration route of the Caribou. This trip will open your eyes to a unique land with beautiful topographic features you never knew existed. The caribou migration is generally late August to late September.

Enjoy, experience, and learn about this unique land, its wilderness, and history through our varied tours. We offer tours conducted by Polaris Ranger and walking tours. The initial exploration of the North Seal was to open access to its 5 star fishing, some of the finest on the planet. Whether you are an experienced angler or a newbie wishing to try it, if you do, you will be amazed- and slightly terrified-  at what swims in these waters. Floatplane Exploration of the Robertson Esker and Blackfish Lake

View a magnificent portion of the North Seal River and surrounding eskers high in the sky in one of our legendary floatplanes! Journey to Blackfish Lake where the historic Robertson esker intersects the river. This area features several pristine sites with ties back thousands of years to the Indigenous hunters who roamed this area. See a historic portage, portage marker, tent rings, and climb the Robertson to see from the same vantage point as they did.

Amazing Heli-tour of the North Seal River

This amazing heli-tour of the North Seal River will wow you. See and experience from a unique perspective, riding in the seat of an Astar helicopter. See miles and miles of one of the most pristine and untouched rivers in North America. You will journey up the North Seal, encounter the Robertson esker, and see the unque outcroppings on the Northeast end of Egenolf Lake. The tour will end with a bird-eye view of the erratic fields just south of the lodge. Wildlife is often seen.

Heli-Hiking

Take a short flight by helicopter to a hard to access area on what we call the ‘North esker.’  This amazing area has a character all its own and exploration so far has revealed over 30 archaeological relics.  This esker has the ‘wildest’ look of all of our eskers and you always feel as if you are being watched. Definitely a hot spot for ancient hunters.

Churchill Combo

On designated time slots in August, guests are able to add an additional side trip for 2-4 days to Churchill, to see the amazing beluga whale migration and world-famous polar bears.
